I usually just apply to her damp hair, products like anti-frizz serum or creme, Dove or Garnier, Suave Sleek creme is good also. But, my oldest daughter, Amanda is doing the braiding in this clip for Kassidy and she uses specific types of GELS for ethnic hair. I don't think it's necessary for Kassidy's hair since her hair is not as coarse or super curly. But the gels are great for the frizz hairs that pop up around her forehead.
