Alec Baldwin, Emmy Award®-winning TV, film and stage actor energized a crowd of arts advocates before they took to the halls of congress during the 2011 Arts Advocacy Day. With strong conviction, Alec testified that the arts mean business in this country, especially in New York City, but not all areas of this country are like New York City. There are pockets of the country where the arts can only survive with federal support. Alec's message that the arts are what's under the skin, in the soul and hearts of the people in this country motivated and gave advocates confidence to speak to their members of congress.

Please help the Los Angeles Unified School Districts Arts Branch!
The first Ten-Year Arts Education Plan has been funded entirely through general funds, with the Board of Education fully supporting arts as central to student learning. In the current budget crisis the Board is considering a painful cut of 50% of of the elementary arts faculty, approximately 160 highly qualified itinerant dance, music, theatre and visual arts teachers.
Thank you!
