How to get a DPS meter to work with the game Rift.

Step 1
---------------
Download Advanced Combat Tracker:
http://advancedcombattracker.com/download.php

Step 2
---------------
Download Rift Plugin
http://nosaeternus.sheffieldfamily.net/files/Rift3_1_3_0_3_2.zip

OR

Visit Forum:
http://tinyurl.com/3zlnu2w

Full Forum Link: http://www.eq2flames.com/plugin-discussion/78053-plugin-rift-act3-3.html

OR if you absolutely have to get the plugin from
http://advancedcombattracker.com/download.php
(Rift Parsing Plugin (ACTv3))

Step 3
---------------
Install ACT
While in ACT, add the plugin Rift3.cs

Step 3.5
---------------
Add Rift's log file (CombatLog.txt) to ACT

In Advanced Combat Tracker go to the Options tab.
Under Miscellaneous, click Open Log.
Navigate to the Rift log file, mine was at: C:\Program Files (x86)\RIFT Game\CombatLog.txt
Click Open, and you're done.

Can't find CombatLog.txt?

"..Many people may have downloaded Rift through steam, and the CombatLog is not in the same place. for users of Steam they will find it under.... C:\Program Files(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\rift..... once there, CombatLog will come up very clearly."
-thatotherkid1

Step 4
---------------
While in game, enable logging:

/combatlog
/log

Step 5
---------------
Turn on the DPS meter window by clicking "Show Mini" in the top right of ACT

Done!

-------------
Using this program is legal because it does not interact with the game itself. It reads output files from the game and records the data.
-------------
It was tricky to get this working on my own, hopefully this helps you.
