@martinis70 actually i got a velinion brushless system and a 9.6v venom 5000mah nimh battery. lol

@TheChevyboy318 If talkin about batteries then If ya want to run longer with a nimh battery on a brushed motor try 9.6 volt 5000mah venom battery waterproof and fast. of course if you have a brushless velineon then a 3s lipo

what upgrades would u recomend for the slash to make it perform longer and run faster

@TheChevyboy318 If you're really going to have it for a while, it would be worth it to invest in a brushless motor/esc. Much more power, and last longer. Otherwise, RPM bearing carriers for the rear, C hubs and bearing carriers for the front, and aluminum shock caps. Otherwise, pretty bullet proof.

So these things are made to take punishment right? I want to get one next week but I'm afraid I'll crash it once and it will never work again.

@Navohk haha. The Traxxas Slash is one of the best trucks for beginners, if not the best. For around $270, you get a good truck, 2.4ghz radio, and a good battery. All you really need is a good charger. Those can be had for around 45 dollars. If you ever have any questions on anything R/C, feel free to ask.
