good vid, thanks. I've taken ashwagandha and I personally prefer it over asian types of ginseng because it's not stimulating. It's kind of like american ginseng BUT unlke american ginseng it has a calming effect (doesn't make me hyper) and doesn't give me insomnia. Ashwagandha promotes neurogenesis (growth of new neurons). It's excellent when combined with reishi mushroom, chinese salvia, wild oats, vitamin B complex, and schizandra for a calming, soothing, anti-stress effect.
@skid272 Ashwagandha alone has helped me considerably with overall anxiety. I personally would not mix the two though.
