Narangba Library

Moreton Bay Regional Council's Narangba Library is located at Narangba Shopping Village, Main Street Narangba and provides a safe and supportive learning environment for all ages of the local community for educational and/or recreational purposes.

The chalet-style architecture of the building provides a warm, welcoming ambience and its convenient location near station and shops mean that it is embraced by the community which is predominantly made up of young families. It is unique in that it has a working model railway suspended from the ceiling and an historical rail theme throughout.

Narangba Library supports the promotion of literacy right from birth with our service-wide programs such as Born 2 Read, GOAL and GR8, and continues this with our adult and children's book clubs and writers groups.

We have developed excellent relationships with local schools who regularly arrange class visits and school band performances at library functions.

Local businesses use library space for job interviews due to limited venues in the area, and we are the preferred meeting place for various community groups. The partnership with the bakery to provide coffee to library patrons is a definite attraction. We have also partnered with the local Mosquito Creek Winery for various functions.
Queensland Health has partnered with the Library to hold regular parenting courses in the library as well as setting up a permanent baby weigh station.

We are the only provider of internet access in our local community augmented by our provision of 15 minutes free daily access per person.
