America has socialism. Don't be fooled about that.
And if we had a small country with as strong of an economy as Sweden, then we would likely have a government like theirs.
But we aren't like them, and so we don't need to compare how and when our countries execute our different socialist models.
And before you say it, the US is not a capitalist country, social programs have been around since Washington himself.

US only has 300 million and of that at least 15 million are illegal making that number 285 million. But anyway i use to live in Sweeden and its the best country i've ever lived in next to the US
