She was fab all round, shame about the drink, drugs and sex with everyone in the 30 s and 40,s - hence the hysterectomy in 1933. She would of been a very caring person, it is a shame she never knew her mum as she died of labour complications! We love u Tallulah!!!

@rotyoung Oh yeah! She was a GOOD gial !

She had a private life that would put Paris Hilton to shame...;-)

@tjbnyc76 She is Southern by birth...thats what people are taught in the South...to praise others...not oneself

My God, Tallulah was a "hoot" in the true sense of the word! An incredibly funny and talented lady. She once protested that "cocaine wasn't habit forming!!" She continued on to say that, "Darling,I should know, I've been taking it for years!" Our Tallulah got her funny bits past the "censors" in a way that only Mae West would ever match.

@oldstock1607 Oh what a relief! This makes two of us!
What strikes me about this appearance is Tallulah's surprising generosity; she makes a point of complimenting Dorothy; acknowledging "Miss Arlene"; guiding the conversation to Martin Gabel's new play; and even throwing Art Linkletter a bone. Similarly, in her 1965 appearance, she shakes hands with Bennett Cerf, Arlene, and Martin Gabel, then kisses Dorothy on the cheek. Realizing she may have been thought rude,Talu then goes BACK to kiss Arlene, Martin and Bennett Cerf. Crazy dame, but classy.

"Do you now or have you ever owned a parakeet named Gaylord?" That's a great question and it was only Dorothy who asked questions like that. I've noticed that a lot of posters to WML dislike her questions but I like them.
