Letchworth Garden City was founded in 1903 Sir Ebenezer Howard (29 January 1850(May 1 1928) who is known for his publication Garden Cities of To-morrow (1898), the description of a utopian city in which man lives harmoniously together with the rest of nature. The publication led to the founding of the Garden city movement, that realized several Garden Cities in Great Britain at the beginning of the Twentieth Century. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebenezer_Howard
Howard was part of a group of forward thinkers with big ideas on Social development and town planning.
The equivalent of todays radical chic groups with loads of rhetoric and plenty of daddies money to keep them in the style are accustomed. Many trendy artists types flocked to the town.
Including The Cloisters in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire in the UK, was built by Quaker Miss Annie Jane Lawrence (1863-1953), she built the Cloisters and founded st Christopher's school
A small community developed at The Cloisters dedicated to Theosophy. It became the base for the Alpha Union set up by J.Bruce Wallace of the Brotherhood Church.

The Cloisters is the North Hertfordshire Masonic Center.
The town was run as the Garden City Corporation till 1994, when suddenly it all changed and was taken over by a mysterious shadowy organization which goes by the name of The Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation an so called Industrial & Provident Society registered with the Registrar of Friendly Societies under the Industrial & Provident Societies Act 1965 and has exempt charity status.
The Heritage Foundation assumed the role and responsibilities of a former public sector body called Letchworth Garden City Corporation through an Act of Parliament the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation Act 1995. It's unique to Letchworth.
Their Mission is evidently Mission
To create, maintain and promote a vibrant, quality 'environment' in the Garden City, for all those who live in, work in and visit the world's first Garden City.
Sounds very Masonic Utopian with the old Charity scam for cover just like good masonic boy scouts.
Vision.
To ensure that the Foundations success in managing the Estate leads directly to an improved quality of life for the community in Letchworth Garden City.
To be a pioneer, encouraging innovation, experimentation and sustainability particularly with regard to the environment, energy and housing.
To secure recognition, nationally and internationally, for the success of the Garden City 'experiment' as a leading model for developing 21st Century communities.

In reality they are in cahoots with big business and knocked down the technical college to build one of their old mates a big supermarket in a prime spot in the town. At present they are busy ripping the town center to pieces to build a new masonic version, complete with esoteric symbols.
Participation in the town is unheard of and the towns council was sabotaged in a plot that resembled the Knight of the long knives. The Heritage fund is run by a bunch of unelected despots who do exactly as they please.
Here's a few cryptic links, as keywords, they are all connected but its a long story.

  • fuck the trees. its a shit hole anyway

  • @asob17 I kinda sort of agree with you, but a shit hole with Trees is certainly better than one made entirely out of concrete and similar shit.

  • Please put the round-about back and undo the chaos and gridlock!

  • @LetchworthTaxi I thought the town center was pretty much Brown bread, I would imagine that times are hard for taxi drivers. A dormitory town for people who used to work in London but are now unemployed.

  • I'm moving to this town in a couple of months. Should I be concerned?...

  • @Jerraph By now you should either have settled in, or be thinking about legging it off somewhere else. I doubt that you'll find anyone interested in the points I raised in the video.

  • Shittest Video I have ever seen,

  • @BiggaJudgementTube I guess you could say I passed through there at some stage of the game. I was rather surprised to see how Leys Avenue and Station road are laid out. although it is quite normal for towns to be built to mason design . The town is also built on land that was once owned by the Knights Templars. Ebenezer Howard also has some rather interesting social angles, his three magnets for a good starter. Then the links with the Theosophical society, The Cloisters the 1900's radical chic.

  • Interesting! Will have to do some research when I return. Are you from Letchworth?
