Here is how you stream media to your iPhone and iPod Touch:

If you just want to stream to your local network, skip steps 1-6.

Step 1:

Create a free account at www.dyndns.com


Step 2:

Create a new Dynamic DNS Host


Step 3:

Download and install the Dyn DNS Updater http://cdn.dyndns.com/dyndns-setup-mac.zip


Step 4:

Configure the DynDNS Updater


Step 5:

Forward your router's port 5010 and 5012 to your Mac.


Step 6:

Enable Dynamic DNS on your router..


Step 7:

Download iPhone Remote http://code.google.com/p/telekinesis/ install and configure it.


Make sure DynDNS Updater daemon and iPhone Remote are running.

At Safari, navigate either to your DynDNS host adress ...or to your Mac's internal IP, if you want to stream to your local network.

Add " :5010 " to the adress.

Insert your iPhone Remote username and password in the form.

Done!

Hey, when I try to do it locally, it works fine on the machine (doing both ip:5010 and localhost:5010, but it times out on the iPod. Any ideas?
