A sort of video essay I did for my Satire Class. I analyzed the theme in Candide of how even though people think that money will bring them happiness it more often than not does the opposite. I just realized that this is a little quiet, I might try to fix that later.
I would say, that Votaire is trying to make the point that altho money does not guarantee happiness, it is fully necessary, along with liberty and morality, in order to have a good life, and the only way out of this is the mythical el-dorado "where no man can go". Or in other words, moneyless societies where the state makes a utopian paradise are a fantasy and impossible in the real world.
