A fine, if wide, conjunction of planets with the crescent moon at dawn with birdsong! Later shots that morning through my Meade ETX-70 shows the gibbous phase of planet Venus.

  • I cannot wait for tonight. Why? This will happen!!!!

  • @MrDillon66 Good luck with your viewing from Perth OZ about now [aug 13 @ 1000UT] with Venus Mars and Saturn + crecent moon all together and Mercury below half way to western horizon - just looked it up on freeware Carte du Ciel! I envy you;-)

  • Thanks for sharing! didn't know that mars was visible at this moment! this will be my first time to see mars ,hope that i can make a nice video of it

  • Good luck with Mars - it's very tiny at the moment [only a few arc-seconds across] and will get 'bigger' later in the year as it gets closer to earth.
