LST 846 at min. 9:23 of the video was USS Jennings county .I was aboard her in August 1970 in Vietnam.We repaired PBR'S,and had 2 seawolves attached to us.We had a fire aboard ship,and were later decommissioned,in september,I remained on aboard as part of a skeleton crew of 8 ,that slavaged all miltary hardware before she was sold or scrapped.

Since I was there, I recognized the buildings in the first part of the video, as well as the piers and stuff. This was of the group located at Long Xuyen, in An Giang province, up river, west of Can Tho.

As an Airdale didn't ride them PBRs that much, but did and was happy to bring "HELL" to the VC/NVA as a Crew Chief with USN HAL-3, Det 5- Seawolves! Sure was an "HONOR" to be called to "Shoot" for the PBRs!
