ASUS U36 is the world's thinnest notebook featuring an Intel® standard voltage CPU, super-slim 19mm shell rethinks performance and mobility expectations.
ASUS' outstanding R&D team was able to develop a unique thermal design, reducing the notebook frame to a mere 19mm while still packing an impressive Intel® Core™ i3 or Core™ i5 processor. Together with ASUS' Super Hybrid Engine technology and an NVIDIA® graphics card with Optimus technology, the U36 has a super long battery life, lasting up to 10 hours.

  • Go ahead and buy your overpriced rotten APPLE that you can't upgrade unless you buy more APPLE BS....

I'll stick to PC and buy great ASUS products at half the price, but with the same performance and spend the rest of the money I saved on other components, or on beer and hookers.

Thank you Apple fanbois for keeping the cost of ASUS products low.

  • But the question is - Will it blend?

  • does anyone happen to know the name of the song playing?

  • im watching this n the u36sd-dh51 i bog in the mail yesterday! love it!!!! Asus>mac every day.

  • @npaton2292 What battery u have? the 6 or 8 cell one? i 4.5hrs in HighPower mode with lots of tasks running and a FF with 90open tabs.

  • I'm sooo buying this!

  • yes i do agree the 10 hours is boasting too much lol. i bought it because it said 10 hours battery life

  • @npaton2292 i have the same notebook. i think you should use the "Power4Gear Battery Saving" settings. They seem to be more effective in extending battery life than the standard windows 7 battery saver mode. assuming that i only browse the web for work purposes and use documents, i get a good 6 hours from it.

  • @npaton2292 Are you making sure that the laptop isn't constantly searching for a wireless internet hotspot? That might be why your battery's going down so fast.

  • I purchased this laptop 2 weeks ago for travel. It is good however I have one comment: DOESN"T COME CLOSE TO 10 HOURS BATTERY LIFE!

Sure I know it "depends on usage" blah blah... but I am only getting 4.5 hours when using it and when it is sitting there doing absolutely nothing, on battery saving mode, with the screen on min brightness it gets 6 hours. I have even had the battery replaced as I thought it was faulty. The new battery is the same. I've asked ASUS for a second battery but no love.

  • Asus U Series are the best in class laptops.

It's a shame not enough people know about them...

  • I have it. So far it's great. The only thing: this video is misleading - the keyboard here looks like it has a backlight - it doesn't.
