Edison's silent movie lends itself to Fuglewicz's "Manifesto" in this mix using a short text by Jeremy Gluck and read by same. Abstractly a reference to love and monsters, so united in our age in the person's of Hitler, Stalin and many others, monsters beloved to millions. Also, more wholesomely, a meditation on love and surrender, the retreat of the ego and the coming of self-realism.
"One of the most sought after short films by fans of the silent era is the 1910 production of Frankenstein from Thomas Edison's Edison Studios. For many years the only image thought to exist from the 15-minute feature was a single photo of wild haired, shambling monster grimacing at the camera. Fortunately, recent years have revealed that it's not as lost as one would think." Film Buff Online
