Plek Berlin shows the movement of a vibrating string in slow motion using a Strobe developed by Gerd Anke. Gerd shows and talks about different waves that form in a string when set into motion. The Strobe was a important part of developing Plek Technology, because it showed how a string behaves when played, it helped find the formula to obtain the optimum relief for the Guitar Neck.

  • I just recorded a whole music video exploiting a similar rolling shutter effect on a large baritone 12-string using a canon 7d. It's totally cool. Do a search for "magic guitar strings" to see the video.
