@Meissama Yes but america has got far bigger total amount of casualties in space flight than the Russians. Its only because Russians try to keep things simple and not overcomplicate them, Souyz is most reliable spacecraft yet. A shuttle carries im sorry if im not correct but by memory 6-8 persons, and current Souyz up to 3, America has suffered 3-4 major accidents in wich whole crew was lost. 2 of them being the Shuttle.

Actually 2 soyuz resulted in the deaths of their crews... Soyuz 1 killed Komarov when it suffered chute issues and he sadly lost his life after it slammed into the earth at break neck speeds.
And a crew of three were killed when a valve in Soyuz 11 was forced open by a jolt from it's explosive bolts going off at the same time. It's sadly caused all the air to leave the craft and exit into the vacuum of space.
Both programs have had their tragedies sadly

@dsouth01 Don't forget about russian spaceships is more more safety than usa ships; russians is the first nation launched a satelite and a first nation launched a human into space ... So you must think more before saying somethink.
