Tehran flexes muscles at NATO
Iran says it's carried out the second phase of a military exercise near its border with Turkey. The location is significant due to its proximity to NATO bases inside Turkey.
Iran's Air Force includes American Fs, Russian-made Sukhoi and Iranian Saeghehs aircraft.
Our fighter jets took off from various bases around the country and went to the drill area, said Hussein Jet Farushan, an Iranian military spokesman.
Signal interception and jamming equipment was also used as well as unmanned jets that are now in mass production in Iran.
Military experts believe the operation is aimed at showing the world and the U.S. in particular Iran's military might.
What we see is a result of the U.S. presence in the region. It's prompted a leap in quality of Irans missile and aviation sectors, said Amir Al-Mussui, a military expert.
It's perhaps no surprise that the Air Force hits were conducted from the city of Tabriz which lies near the border with Turkey - in close proximity to NATO military bases.
@lol38810 Yes Turkey makes about 50% of its own weapons today and has cancelled most if not all its military equipment sales, upgrades and projects with Israel and is producing more of it own weapons everyday. Tanks (MITUP Altay in 2012), fighter jets and aircraft (F-16's and F-35's as a contributor nation along with EU, NATO and US), etc.

@siamfd201 Yes they do, Arabs don't trust Europeans or Americans due to their bad history there and Turks have a better relationship with them, who is buying Arabic and Middle Eastern products and oil: Europe and US and Turkey is a good bridge for the two and they have a vast market of their own and their trade and economic link with Europe and US. Yes I do agree that Turkey needs to fix its relationship with Iran and the Arabs and Muslims to enhance its influence in the region though.

@siamfd201 (continued) anyway sorry for the harsh language for the Palestinians but that guy just got on my nerves, either way Israel will not go away, neither Palestinians nor Turks can change that at least not in the near future.

@siamfd201 Yes it's not entirely their fault, but it's not like Hamas and Fatah are doing anything helping the Palestinians, terrorism from the Israeli or the Palestinian side is not right, but saying Gaza and Palestinian people have balls and Turks don't is bullshit, because Israel whether anyone likes it or not is untouchable as long as US and Europe and their own nuclear and military arsenal protects them, if Palestinians had the means they could fight them face to face but they can't
