Breathtaking nature, with everything included. Clean soil, clean air and clear water. But more than anything else its the peace and quiet which adds to sense of well being for both man and animal. The wombat for instance, is highly dependent on these conditions. Because he is nocturnal it is hard to find him during the day. Wombats live solitary lives and are good at sticking up for themselves. Which in human language means 'beware and push off!' The female will have one young which stays with her for five months... right, in the pouch. After 17 months he will head off on his own.
The tawny frogmouth mainly hunts reptiles and worms and then almost only at night.
Around one thousand plants grow in the Blue Mountains. Too many to name. Together they make up part of the Australian wilderness.
