I highly doubt it, but it does sound like it. I think it's just a popular style found in music. The Full House theme has it, and there's even a song in Street Fighter II: The Movie(japanese version) that has that melody to it. Yuzo tends to absorb any style that's either popular at the time or he just happens to like.

CosmoBuggi I need to know something.. Did Yuzo Koshiro work with Janet during the time he made this? JJ's Together Again sounds too much like Bridge zone. BTW this some damn nice music BKIV!! =D

It's a mix of Slow Moon, Keep The Groovin', and yes, the Sonic 1 bridge theme. I was able to get away with that one because it too was composed by Yuzo Koshiro. Besides, it just maked for a sweet emotional track.
