i thought it was 'denser' but it just sounded like 'dancer' because of his accent?

Are we humid
Or are we damper?

The only way I can explain why I think its "Dancer" is this: Think that a "dancer" could be another race or creature. Humans having free will and own opnions, and Dancers only acting out as they told. So are we human? Or dancer?

@yerfer11 The Killers opened up saying that it was in fact "Dancer". Meaning that humans have they're own way and purpose, but dancers have certain steps to follow and are controled, like a puppett. This is why they say "cut the cord...". Yet "denser" can make sense too.

Love the song
and nice job with the picture :P
I heard others saying that it was denser. Could be wrong though. He does not sin in the plural, so he would be saying "are we human, or are we DANCER." That doesn't grammatically make sense. Denser does though, so I hope this might help all who think its dancer.

The Killers have come under fire for the lyrics to current single 'Human' ("Are we human or are we dancer?"), which many critics have found baffling. According to Flowers, the line was inspired by 'Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas' author Hunter S Thompson, who once voiced a fear that America was "raising a generation of dancers". Flowers explains, enigmatically: Ill say its a mild social statement and Im leaving it at that."
