  • check out my other horse videos if you dont believe me or the ones by formalattiregirl

  • i have trained one previous national champion. and our other horses have all placed very very well at breed shows. know what you are talking about before you open your mouth. he is not a western horse he is an english horse, english horses have spirit beside he wasn't even a year old in this video. we were working him for show go watch some then come back to me.

  • OMG get ur natural horsemanship away from me. obviously you have never been to a saddlebred, morgan or arab show and seen their halter classes. we gear thes horses up to be a snorty and stuff it makes them show themselves off. hes not some dumbheaded stock horse that does what you tell him hes a morgan and they are a thinking breed.

  • people really can get nasty. The Morgan here is very nice.I like them.My sister owns one.She brought me to a few shows when she shows her,s.Um might seem dumb of me.But why do they make Morgans stretch like that?

  • I love Morgans I have 16 of my own training showing and breeding.. Nice youngster really like him. I do the same type of training as you..i also do natural horsemanship ....nothing wrong with either one keep up the good work great horse!

  • @lavonne333 I use "park" on my SSH gelding. I've also heard "stand" "step up" or "stretch" I've even heard people shush their horses to get them to park out. It's whatever you prefer to teach your horse.

  • HOLY! I HAVE A MORGAN TOO!!! im going in halter soon! thanks alot!

  • oh my god...what crap comments about dumbhead western horses. everybody has it`s fav. horses. no matter what horses...every horse has it`s special things. i love my quarter and paint-horses. so, i love them cause they are not that dumbheads what you told them. have you ever worked with an cutting horse??? so, why do all people be so rude over here in the internet??

we all love horses...so we have to be friends...and not enemies !!!

  • great job!! you have a beautiful youngster! enjoyed the video very much.. nice to see a video of the learning process with the horse instead of most of the others ive watched with all the "been there done that Horses "

  • Is there a commonly used voice command you say when you ask the horse to "stand" for you?

  • Nice youngster. A bit rambunctious, but aren't all the little guys? He's got some good movement. What's his breeding?

  • @moonlitesweetie Treats make -some- horses pushy and nippy. Not all. And to be honest, there has been a lot of success in clicker training with horses, so I'm inclined to disagree with you. Treats can make dogs pushy and nippy as well. You think NH works on all horses or that it should be used in all situations? You're wrong. It can be helpful and it can work, but is not always appropriate or helpful. In hand horses are supposed to be hyped and snort-and-blow horses are more likely to win.

  • thank you! this helped alot. i have an old show horse and she is ready to start again.... using these tips, i can get her back in the game!
