  • I agree, the two chestnuts we had in Friskney England were at least 30 metres high. They were about 60 Years old but thats with good toft land though.

  • hmmmm concerned about the chestnut tree, the ones I've seen aren't small bushes. They can grow pretty massive form my experience but maybe they take 100 years to get that big. I would plant the chestnut at the "back" of your tree grove so when it does grow massive it won't shade the other trees from the Northern sun. :-)
