Remix or orig, do you care? I don't. Shut up and listen, it's a good mix, whether original or remix.
It sure as hell captures the mood of "3am" much better than the more widely known mix.

everybody chill the fuck out
3am eternal is one of the best pop songs ever written, and every mix has its own totally different and electrifying qualities. the 'commercial mix', especially the 12" is fucking fantastic, i've never heard a catchier dance tune and there ain't no better example of the klf's stadium house sound. the pure trance original is really moving with a totally different vibe. learn to revere the tune in all its forms, because it's excellent.

Incredible. I like hearing all the variant traditions of KLF songs. Mixes of What Time Is Love? are brilliant. I like the Guns of Mu Mu version of 3 AM Eternal. And the original version of Last Train To Trancentral, called ‘Go To Sleep’.

That does not even come close to the one in the album... This is just a daft daft disco shit....

@elcesar999 Well, thanks to 6robski8 for putting it up! :D

@arglwyddanfradwrus thanks

@elcesar999 No, the original "Pure Trance" version was meant to be released 31st October 1988, but wasn't actually released until 1989 (as stated by the 6robski8, the one who posted this video)
The one which became a hit was released in either late 1990 or early 1991.
I have gotten to prefer this version over the commercially successful one too!

I thought it was a 90s song

The KLF released two discs containing bootlegs and sampled versions of 3am Eternal and What Time is Love. Anyone seen them up on here at all? I have them on vinyl and might get around to cutting and posting them if no one else has.

@johnsy5711 I'd certainly be interested to hear them, as would many others I'm sure. Send me the link if you upload. Peace.

I actually really love both versions. When I first heard this I didn't like it honestly. It's not really as dancable as the other, but it grew on me as a song as opposed to a track you just pop in at retro theme parties. The vocalists have a lot of talent that get lost in the mix and there's more depth to it. Thanks for sharing!

@xpaulax08 It was originally scheduled for release 31st Oct 1988, but was delayed until early '89.. the tune was being played in '88 and like most tunes back then was already massive before it got an official release.
