There was plenty of good music in the 00s, and there continues to be great stuff out there today. You just have to know where to look for it. They sure as hell aren't gonna play this on MTV anymore.

They really were weren't they? Thats kind of sad though. Either way that means the best is already over or I can't anything to enjoy in this last decade of music.

I discovered Tortoise on E-Music, and am I ever glad that I did--such a refreshing, novel band with interesting music.

This is a great vidio & a great track . I got the vid with A Lazarus Taxon & for some time the track has been my Tortoise favorite. Iv been there too "aran". But the funny thing is when i listen carfully i can hear Rolph Harris in the background singing Two Little Boys. Isn't this just something else alltogether.

@firsttimein This came out before Boards had released MHTRTC, 1996 to be precise. IIRC the Old Tunes hadn't been released to the public yet, and I think this was recorded around the same time as Twoism anyway.
It's probably the other way around, BoC may have been influenced a lot by this kind of music.

I wonder if Boards of Canada had anything to do with this, very similar.

Yeah, Tortoise is awesome. You should definitely check them out.
Only 5000 people wanna see Tortoise videos on Youtube. A lot of people don't know what they lost.
