To martensjr: The Bishops' declaring this puts the Shrine at Champion on the same Ecclastical level of the Shrines at Fatima, Lourdes, Guadalupe, etc., etc., and while some have had Basilicas built on the site, and have had the Pope visit. It is the only one ever in the U.S.A., and Bishop Ricken said that the Vatican has been informed about the Commision in 2009, and has been informed of the formal declaration and what it said 2 weeks ago so they approved it.

  • Is there anybody know this place? May I know the address of this church? I would like to go.

    Thks

  • Why so testy for such a wonderful event? If it's worthy of belief, that is a beautiful thing. Given that we live in such a sinful world, we need all of the help that we can get from heaven. There seems to be so much venom hurled at the Vatican these days. I wish the corporate world was held to one fraction of the standard that the church is. They are pillaging the world and it's people with impunity.

  • Clarification - the Vatican has NOT approved this, nor do they need to. The complete authority to declare this "worthy of belief" belongs to the local bishop.
