  • I have a full understanding of what it means to sing in a counter-tenor voice. However it also encompasses those who sing in the alto range in their chest-voices and head voices. I use my head voice to sing in the upper register like that and I is very strong and is often mistaken for a belt.

  • bravo!

  • It is legitimate but people and shows nowadays are demanding high countertenor-gospel belts especially for black guys. Like Seaweed in Hairspray, Sebastian in Little Mermaid, and Smokey Joe's Cafe stuff.

  • i know

but look at the score, its pretty high

but i think it sounds better if a 2nd soprano sings it

  • um, it's written for a guy.

  • I hate it that baritone songs and singers are going extinct in the Musical world. I'm a baritone and I've had to teach myself to sing in a countertenor voice in order to even begin to have dreams of being on Broadway.

  • I had to sing this song my Senior year and let's just say you did a 100% better than I did. REALLY great job!

  • not many guys can sing this song. good job
