They ought to create a show called "The Yankee," starring someone from the Deep South, who talks with a phony "northern" accent, doing stereoptyped obnoxious mannerisms/behaviors of that region--that would be so funny!

Laughable to see a hyper, thin Nick Adams, with his northern Jersey accent, play a southern rebel boy.
I noticed the same in early Elvis movies--northern-accented yankees playing streotyped slower, poor, ragtage southerners

You are only half right. The original ending theme was Johnny cash singing as well. The theme you hear at the end was changed for royalty purposes.

this was filmed in Malibu Canyon same area as M.A.S.H. - Planet of The Apes - and Dukes Of Hazard- ...the land was owned by Tentieth Century Fox-

When his roamin' days were over, did Johnny sell ice cream under the name "The Good Yuma Man"???

Where is it?
Isn't this the episode where Portal had a "watchsnake" (instead of a watchDOG)? If I remember it right, Portal patted the rattlesnake and he (the snake) went back into the hole in the wall where he had his digs.
