  • This is sort of disturbing.

    1. That tower is VERY off from the 6 arm 315KV tension type tower.

    2. The insulators prevent sparking. The insulators ARE sparking.

    3. It is very rude to the Pylon Appretiation Society in UK. People should be nice to HV powerlines.

Try this! Go to some power lines. Observe them for 5 minutes. Watch videos of them, and you will then like them!

  • Excellent service. This way people can at least make a conscious choice as to whether or not they are willing to risk their health by living next to high voltage power lines.

  • @beaman220 i know these things to be measured in kilowatts or megawatts but amps im not sure how much. the local electric company near me says they produces over 2000megawatts on the local grid. these things dont bother me. they are intresting on some mornings when the lines are making a loud sizzle sound and every now and then there would be tiny little sparks hitting the insulator du to the dust collected on the insulator with alot of moisture. the highest voltage here is at least 500k volts

  • I wouldn't buy a house under a power line for the simple reason that I'm a radio ham and power lines tend to block lower frequency radio signals and generate broadband radio frequency interference. Health-wise, they're harmless unless you climb one and fall or electrocute yourself.

  • watch out for power lines huh ? that's an american tv ad

  • @beaman220 im sure its a great amount, not sure how many amps it calculates too but High Tension lines carry power that is in the kilowatts.

  • @form109 How many amps?

  • @beaman220 The highest voltage AC lines in the US are 765 KV

  • Thats how they do it in Russia

US is only regualted to 550Kv

  • @slipknotmaggott666 when u do that zaap
