  • This movie is better than Inception, or anything thing else this year, for that matter.

You need to see it. It's a haunting film.

  • @TheMarkSasuke64

quite honestly there are hundreds of films better than Inception...Memories of Murder, Paprika, A Bittersweet Life, OldBoy, My Neighbor Totoro...it's ridiculous how many people claim "INCEPTION" is the best movie period when they haven't seen many others.

And hell they think the whole concept of INCEPTION is original...they've obviously never heard of Paprika.

  • @WorldOfSnakes very interesting point.. however the time he spent in prison and the fact that the child is only a baby make it impossible to be his son. plus, I'm pretty sure the child actors were not the same. but other than that it might be possible that it was indeed the woman he loved... but perhaps (for a little supernatural element) she was his wife who had actually died and sent back from the dead to assign him his new mission??

  • @BornToDie90 And the child is his son. That's why they used the same actor for both the child at the beginning and the child at the end...it's in order to make them look exactly the same, because they are father and son. So the purple-veiled woman is in fact his wife who he thought he killed, but she's alive, and she came to give him back his child, and she had her face veiled because she committed adultery and she is shamed.

  • @BornToDie90 Also, in the house, she takes off her veil once, but she's got her back turned, and we can only see her hair and the shape of her backhead and neck...and it looks very much like the young sick girl that came to see him when he was younger. So I think what happened is that he stabbed her but then fleed, and in fact, she wasn't dead.

  • @BornToDie90 After watching the movie 3 times...my take on it is that the purple-veiled woman is the sick girl herself...the girl that he fell in love with and married and that he presumably killed. How come I think that? Because remember when she's lying in the floating house, she touches his hand softly...it's affection...she knows him. Then, after she drowns in the lake and he picks her up, he takes off her veil...and when he sees her face he jumps back. It's because he recognizes her.

  • I've seen this movie 3 times I own it,but there are still some things I'm not sure about the explanation...like who's the woman with the purple veil on her face? Is it the sick girl that came to see him and with whom he fell in love? I think that's the explanation but I'm not sure...but if that's the explanation, that means he didn't kill her, right? How come? Also, the baby...is it his baby that he had with her? Or is it a baby she had with another man than her husband? And why does he carry

  • all i can remember from this film i watched a while back is growing up, sex sex sex and death.
