This mission isn't too bad, especially after Famfrit. It seemed ridiculously luck based at first. But the grinding before the Cheetahs with my team to help Marche learn abilities provided a higher level Montblanc. Ezel's level is based on party average, so I kicked out all the other characters. SCC rules allow you to hire or kick out units in order to manipulate average levels. I really didn't want to do this because it makes random battles harder, but I began accepting random unit invites after this mission to help keep averages low again, and it was necessary to take the increase in random battle levels to have a high enough level Ezel so that he could survive. I also learned Life so that I could revive him if needed, but I shouldn't have. Getting charmed in later battles and reviving enemies is not cool.
I also had to get a Thunder Robe which nulls one of the enemy units. Although I'm only recording story battles, the mission battle for it was also extremely annoying. In a challenge like this where every hit can easily matter, the game's seeming inaccurate percentages gets really annoying.
After getting the Thunder Robe and leveling Marche up some, the battle becomes doable, but it's still somewhat luck based. You have Ezel as a guest here, and you really need him to spam Azoth and hit as many enemies as possible with sleep. I wasn't sure if the unit with lightning attacks had anything available other than those, so I healed near the end when it wasn't needed. Still, this is a very nice battle compared to some of the stuff later on.
I want a remake of this game =(
