The world's safest saw in action. It won't cut off your finger, or a hotdog!

Please contact us for a live demonstration in our Sydney office, or visit http://www.gabbett.com for further information.

SawStop's 10" cabinet saw was developed from the ground up with a particular focus on safety and quality. It features a revolutionary safety system that stops and retracts the blade (within 5 milliseconds) upon accidental contact, drastically reducing the severity of user injury. The safety system provides invisible protection (doesn't interfere with your work), is always on and performs continuous self tests. The saw also includes a European style riving knife (secured via a quick-change mount) that helps minimize kick-back.

  • destroys the blade

  • lol they had this on stephen colbert " way to pussy out saw stop" i remeber but if people wanted to then they could get this kind of saw blade, and if they want to cut their fingers off and be jackasses and have a almost useless hand for their whole life then fine.

  • @NecronomiPod It's great technology and kudos to the inventive spirit, and desire to make a safer product and a lucrative profit; all things that have made our nation the wonderful thing it's become (best on earth even with it's current woes). BUT: IT'S NOT THE GOVERNMENT'S JOB TO TELL ME I HAVE TO HAVE IT AND SHAME ON THE COMPANY IF THEY'RE PLAYING THAT WAY!!! I can add a 400 dollar guard to my 1100 dollar saw and still be way ahead of the 3000 dollar price tag of one of these!

  • @ncblu66 The real reason that the makers are lobbying the government is because the Saw Stop technology was universally rejected by major manufacturers that make table saws. They were given the option of utilizing this technology and refused, saying that it would increase the number of accidents by giving people a "false sense of security."

On average, 10 fingers are lost per day due to table saw accidents. No matter how safe you are, accidents happen.

  • i was so fucking scared for a sec.

  • @scoobyjdmd watch the timewarp video... just search Sawstop timewarp

  • Is anyone else a little suspicious of ncblu66's motives for using a saw?

  • try it with your finger!

  • i have two saws and will do whatever i have to to make sure these saws last my lifetime and for anyone who is stuck with one i can show you how to bypass the unit at your own risk. if future legislation allows for the option then i can get behind it, until then i am 100% against it and for good reason

  • i've been watching this quite closely as well as the becoming of the nanny-state we face and become more disgusted every day. i should be allowed to choose whether or not is have this on my saw. the money maker is from the replacement cartridges you have to buy, then there is the down time while you replace one and the week waiting for one to get sent to you if you dont have a spare. if this gets passed the first thing i'm gonna do is rip it out and toss it in the trash.
