this is the reference to the movie casino! where they dump bodys in the desert! also it leads to the story of the liberty city beef! you see The Sindaccos hate The Forellis because ever since Sonny Forelli died in Vice City they thought whats the point anymore! then its goes all the way to Salvatore Leone the Leader of the Leone Family!
