This song was recorded on the National Lampoon Radio Dinner album back in 1970-71 (?). There will be some that are offended by the overtones-but take heart. This song is NOT racist despite the lyrics. It was intended to poke fun at the "middle class liberals" - mostly those who really aren't in it for the social good-rather it's whatever is trendy. There are a number of good people out there that give to society without making a big show and failing miserably. It's that latter group that this video jabs.

I loved this song. I thought this song was really heavy back in the 70s when I was an Anthropology student at UCLA, working in South Central and hanging out in East LA. Didn't know quite how to take it. Was it about me? Now with these images I'm wondering again.
