"One of the best American documentaries in recent memory." The New York Times

The startling footage at the heart of this film was captured by a New Orleans woman who kept her camcorder on in the Ninth Ward when the levees broke following Hurricane Katrina. Her tapes have been edited and appended by Michael Moore collaborators Tia Lessin and Carl Deal, who edit Kimberly Rivers Roberts' footage with their own film of the post-Katrina clean-up effort. A brilliant depiction of resilience, courage and humour.

Opens exclusively at the ICA 5 December 2008

  • Bush is a murdering crook. The damage he has done will last my lifetime and beyond. How he dealt with Katrina and what he did to our citizens represents the very core of his disdain for real Americans. It is truly disturbing, and I hope that this film will get further distribution. HBO, PBS, someone needs to show this so people can see. Distribute it to the schools of America. He should be tried and convicted.

  • These National Guard need cross cultural training for New Orleans because our culture & dialect are very different from anywhere else in the USA. The soldiers seem to look at the people as though they are from another planet.

  • lmao my teacher played this at class and everyone bursted out laughing when she swore

  • @tunelowplayslow youre sick, in my opinion

  • @buzzardfifty I wouldnt blame bush for the disaster, in a diaster like that something that america hasnt seen before. People get confused- who's supposed to lead in a situation like that? the mayor? govenor? FEMA director? But lots of people didnt have any means to live the city there was no Public transportation organized to leave the city for people that did not have cars.

And the fact that they sold drugs at one point doesnt matter in my opinion- they are still human beings.

  • Great documentary..

  • It dose not matter if thery were drug dealers or not there are still HUMAN BEIGNS.... for Christ sake when were being sent to other states and cities, they were called refugees. Like they came from another freaking country on boats. Should they get rich out of it, no. But it open my eyes. I don't every want to be an American citizen in America and treated like that.. Everybody can change... evern you.....
