Gov does inflate money away.

All paper money systems are doomed eventually - it is the nature of the beast. IF money can be created out of thin air (i.e. limitless supply) then it will eventually inflate to a tiny fraction of it's original perceived "value".

Bitcoins are limited in supply. In fact, as people lose their wallets (like losing a bill down the sewer etc) the coins are lost forever (they still exist but can't be accessed) so it is DEFLATIONARY...

@TheBagBalm well, if you can mine bitcoins, and then trade it out for money/goods, I'd say that's not bad. I wouldn't stock up on 'em, but get them and trade them sure.

Bitcoin tam's are a good idea but the timing suxs ass. As least its expanding the infrastructure. This is the only type of thing that will help bitcoins. But the timing is cooing to kill it.
