The Ottawa Senators playing the Winnipeg Jets (Nov 29.11).......they said Butler "hit the post" here ~ if he did, he hit the BACK post INSIDE the net!

Shame he didn't get credit for this beauty :)

...if it goes off the bottom of the post, it could certainly be propelled downwards no matter how fast its going...the post is round...like someone else said, it's a 3D world. most likely it was looked over in toronto and if it was a goal they would have sounded the horn and talked with the refs about it after the play was over. in summary, 0% chance that puck went in the net.

  • I was at this game and had a great view of this. I am also a hugh BB fan and was hoping he'd get one that night. But this shot hit the post.

  • your wrong, its in the air

  • If it's in the air, then it's going in an arc, which means it's not a very hard shot. But in that case you would have no trouble seeing it hit the left post. Fact is, I went frame by frame on my HD PVR and I never saw the puck until it was rimming around the back of the net One frame it was on his stick, next frame it was (or appeared to be) at the back of the goal. If it's traveling *that* fast there is no way it pings from post in a graceful arc.

  • ummmmmmmmm its in the air in the crease after hitting the post. we live in a three dimensional world you know
