@philanderadriaan There's no need to go on my word, I gave you the source. Try discogs.com. Just about every artists catalouge is there. Go through the chic catalougue till you find the exact year it was released. If ya still dont get it, I cant help you.

@philanderadriaan It looks like a digital release without distribution through labels and retail so you probably wont find any Chic credits. Mixtapes digital or physical dont give credits in writing. Dont pull your hair out over it, I gave you the source. You can only hope she releases it in a non mixtape physical package and just hope the label gives credit.

@giftedindividuals Not the original song, I mean the credits for midnight hour that says it sampled chic - sao paulo. I looked through the credits of "Feelin Myself" (the mixtape with this song), and there's no sample credit to sao paulo. I couldn't find midnight hour in ASCAP, BMI nor WhoSampled. Mind if you tell me the site if you can't post the specific link?

@philanderadriaan I couldnt post a link so use a search engine and search "chic - sao paulo original songwriters".
He did a replay of the original with his own lyrics so the publishers(writer/producers) of the of the original would get a cut of a derevitave work. Sampling and replay is two different things. Anymore questions inbox me.

LISTEN UP!!! To all the kiddies that dont know their history this song is based on a song by Chic - Sao Paulo. He basically just did a replay on it with his own tweak. And when a producer is in creative mode you sit back and dont intervene because it fucks up the flow of creativity. SO STOP WITH THE SHE LOOK BORED COMMENTS!
