In May 2009, I made the life changing decision to pursue more in my life and ventured to start my own clothing line -- this is my story.

  • @HerroHachi great video! can I ask you what apparel you're printing on? I'm also starting my own T-Shirt company this summer :)

  • @SuupaDupaa hi! thanks for watching :) i use a mixture of American Apparel and Gildan shirts. Good luck on your venture! :)

  • Hi, i was wondering if you started out using any other sites to sell like cafepress or zazzle? if so, did you make good money? or if not, why did you opt out? And how do you advertise??? thats the biggest question I have. Did you join forces with search engines to help you advertise? thanks alot! :) im trying to learn!

  • @bethany2nirvana Hi Bethany! I started out on Etsy and am now using BigCartel. The $ you make would depend on your product and how many people you are reaching. Etsy was nice to start w/ b/c you're reaching quite a few people already just from that community. I used social media sites for advertising - facebook fanpage, twitter, youtube, blogging, etc. The more you show up on different websites, the more you will show up on search engines. :) let me know if u have any other q's!

  • @HerroHachi thanks for your reply! I am wanting to sell tshirts and my photography mainly..dont know where to start tho. I havent loooked at Etsy, ill look into that. Is it free to join? Also, do you make all your products yourself, or do you work with another company that helps you make them? thanks for answering my q's! im sorry if im bothering you, just want to know where to start at. And just the plain "what to do's". lol

  • @bethany2nirvana hi bethany, etsy is free to join but it does cost a small fee (i believe it's still 20 cents) to post each item and then they take a commission from each sale you make. I started out printing the shirts at home, you'll see the machine i used in the video above but now i get it done through a 3rd party printer :) my advice is always to take advantage of sites like Google, it's helped me a lot! :D
