buddhism and hinduism actually has the same teachings but just that buddhists worship one of those incarnations of vishnu. there is a form of hinduism called krishna's counsciousness where lord krishna is the only incarnation that is worshipped.
why on earth whould any1 think that the buddha is an incarnation of god vishnu??? on what basis is this assumption made??? hinduism and buddhism r two completely different teachings! so seriously, Y???
@aneeshbodh It is Indian and Buddha is considered one of the incarnations of Vishnu, so it is probably a Vaishnavite telling of the tale. And there is nothing wrong with that, they are just a religion with contains a character in another. Atleast Buddhism and Hinduism are not wholy different, there have been Christian takes too, which muddled it too much due to the cultures being too different. See Josephat and Balaam.
