James Bond films nowdays need to look back and keep the film calm.....it does not have to be alll action action action....casino royale looked as if the producers realised....but quantum of solace was pathetic....If I had the script....the power....I would make it great....music is deffo one key aspect of a bond film!! It sets the tone!

Probably not. Michael Giacchino came close in some of his soundtracks but I think many contemporary artists are afraid to sound like Barry out of fear of being called unoriginal. Sad part is Barry is part of the Bond legacy, so movies without his soundtracks seem like heresy.
