the woofer saw just under 7,000 watts clamped from a wall socket.

the coil didn't smell, or even begin to get dark but all 4 tinsel leads burned in half

  • It's funny because some other woofers, though rare, can ride 60hz @ 120v for 10 minutes :)

  • @BasherCoon

    not at .35 ohms impedance that this was wired at. if you can show a woofer that can take 7000 watts for 10 minutes i'll buy at least one ;)

    dont you love when people think the bigger the woofer the more power?

    when half the woofer's dont even size up after grabbing a bigger woofer.

    @mrmechanic1579

    sorry bro, ur wrong lol.

  • @ratherbriding99 The rated wattage for woofers are not free-air.

  • @TheDodge213

    the woofer was already damaged. we blew it so we could put new parts in it :)

  • you know instead of blowin the subs u could have sent them to me lmao

  • decent that impressive

  • @masterwolf1212 Oh I know TC sounds woofers well... They're damn clean for sq use, though a lot of people that have them just use 'em because they're high throw and are capable of being stupid-loud.

    As far as 'easily getting 2 3k 18's into the 150's'...you can get 2 $200 woofers into the 150 club with the right box on only a couple thousand watts. :p I've seen folks with a single 15 in a daily driver box (ported in the high 20hz range) pushing 147-148 on around 1500 watts.

  • @BasherCoon I hope you know these TC's, the TC-1000's, 2000's, 3000's and 5200's are legendary subwoofers, well built, and, as the video maker said, he had it at such a low impeadence only a select few subwoofers could handle it, which almost seems impractical. Not that there is never "too loud," but you'd just be wasting power, you can easily get 2 3k 18's, or lower up in the 150's, you dont need 20k watts. But these are some amazing subwoofers here :-)
