Indiana Church of the Brethren Youth Group

Every year, World Vision sponsors an event called "The 30-Hour Famine" to raise money and awareness for poverty and famine.
Essentially, our youth group will be accepting sponsors for each of the youths to go without eating for a period of 30 hours. The youths from our entire church district will be undergoing this project from 7:00pm on
March 14 until 6:00pm on March 15.
To help raise money for this project and to entice sponsors we, the
Indiana Church of the Brethren Youth Group, will be constructing a chain which consists of 29,000 links; each link of this chain will represent one child who dies every day as a result of hunger! Yes, 29,000 children die every day from hunger and we are trying to help. We will be selling each of these chain links for 25 cents a-piece. Therefore, every 4 chain links that we sell will save one child for one day and for every 120 chain links that we sell we will be able to feed one child for one month! We are hoping to sell all 29,000 links to our chain.
