Musically, I like the Red Rocker better than Buffett. I'd only listen to Buffett and his Coral Reefer band on occasions such as boating. His music, Hagar's and Kenny Chesney's music are perfect boating music.

When Sammy hagar joined VH, he began writing songs with EVH on the second album in particular and after. He also had top 40 hits like VH before he joined VH. That's why they continued making platinum albums after DLR left. Both eras were great, and both were successes for the band.
