Listen for ticking and chimes. Clock stops after about 90 seconds. Springs appear to be overwound.

  • Try to replace all the bushings in that clock.

  • and be sure that there is not too much endshake on the pivots:)

  • 1. you can't overwind a clock

    2. If it at least ticks and strikes then you don't have a serious spring problem. Whatever the case may be, it will need to be cleaned and oiled properly, pivot holes checked, etc.
