February 2007 I was at the Arizona Railway Museum while some switching work was being done. Here we are switching some cabooses. The locomotive is a Plymouth ML-8 built in 1943 still running with the original Leroi gasoline engine.
If you listen closely as the engine goes by you can hear some popping sounds. The engine has always backfired and we have never been able to stop it. It's not bad now because the engine is warm. When cold it's very loud
