I don't know, Brett mentioned on their blog on myspace that they had a song that's called Proof is a Punchline... If they HAVE a song, it sure as hell should be WRITTEN at least ;)
from what i heard on the ftm forum, the song you're talking about was never even in the writing process, but then again i don't know what the writing process is exactly. could be somethin' else cause i read somewhere that they had about 17 songs for fables. if you look at the chart closely on 1:33 there's a list of songs they've been working on. i see st. elmo's fire (pour the coal to her), proof is a punchline, cliff's riff (maybe an honest con man) and one titled all something?
I believe that could be that "Proof is a Punchline" song, but I don't really know. Hopefully it ends up on the new record though, 'cause it sounds awesome.
what?!?! did you guys hear the little song clip in the middle of the vid after say when? i believe that's 'pour the coal to her'. i'm pretty damn sure it is. does anyone remember hearing that in fables?

Anyway, for you that didn't know, it has now been concluded that the unknown tune is an early version of the song now called Musical Chairs
