What's with this annoying modern trend to sing Scottish folk music in this affected husky voice? Not attractive in the slightest. Maybe it's just to conceal the fact they can't sing for toffee. Or maybe she should just stick to singing her own music.

ok its not the best version ever, its accapella.
she has a fantastic voice tho.
as for eddi readers version being the best, i have to disagree. she milks it for all its worth, throwing in a grace note at every oppertunity!

I agree with everyone else Eddir Reader's version is miles better than this.

Sorry but this is a poor version. Both Eddie Reader and Karen Matheson are miles ahead.
