cont' because of this, people who waited 3-4 years for crysis 2 on pc, figured they'd bring something out that would be even perhaps a little more detailed. That's understandable. So they wait and when it comes out, it turns out the graphics are a step back from the 2007 version! Meaning it will run better on perhaps even 2005,2006 systems. One of the biggest thrills of crysis was it's detail. So going backwards is going to bug some people if you know what I mean.

cont' -- Also crysis 1 ran pretty decent on a mid level computer 3 years back. Sure people with the slowest computers had trouble, but back then a $180 card could run it. As of 2 years ago, a $99, under hundred dollar card could run it nearly maxed out, provided the computer was high middle of the road. No top end computer was needed. Todays newest cards are THREE times faster than the the card needed to max out crysis 1, 4 years ago! So it's requires very little now. Because of this..

@Enaphoolad, it wasn't the case with crysis 2 because it's actually drawing in less detail than the original. No wonder. It's understandable that pc users feel let down after seeing crysis 1. Imagine what xbox players would say if they got a new version, but they changed it to make it run with an even older version of xbox (if that were possible), and it was even loser res. It's not like everyone would say, "Yay! this is great!". No, they'd also feel it was a step back.

lol 2:12 Surprise mother fuckers!!

@xlr8r2010 If you haven't played the game, don't give it a hard time. They don't all run at the same settings and in fact looks and performs beautifully on the PC. I had to modify the original Crysis so much before I could run it properly at max settings on my computer, but that wasn't the case with Crysis 2. Play the game before you post comments like that. And remember, Cryengine was designed for the PC, its NOT A CONSOLE PORT.

You are fucking stupid.
Crysis 1 was the most crappy optimized game ever.A GTX 560 couldn't run it with 60 fps on max lol...It sucked.2 is much better in every way.Now shut the fuck up and play the game before posting shit you douchebag.

Maximum Kick Ass? Looks like Maximum Failure to me.....I wouldn't buy this watered down console game if it was $5 on Steam...lmao

@xlr8r2010 k. Did you even play the game? How could say its a watered down console port just because it runs and plays across all platforms? You can't judge anything from videos. Crysis 2 is actually a better looking game than Crysis 1. Both have ups and downs there is nothing to blame Crytek, as they have delivered an astonishing game. Well if didn't buy any console port in recent years, you have missed a lot in gaming. Its a good thing if it maxes out in 8800gt which actually isn't a bad gpu.

I'm curious... How do you enable 4xMSAA ? And are you sure it is correctly enabled ?
(Don't mix up with the PostProcessMSAA (r_postmsaa=0 should be disabled) !!)

@Raphibing create a autoexec.cfg file in the main directory add
FSAA = 1
FSAA_sample = 4
con_restricted = 0
sys_budget_videomem = 1000
r_TexturesStreaming = 0
i_mouse_accel = 0
r_driver = DX11
r_displayinfo = 0
Run crysis2 from bin32 folder with windows xp Sp3 compatibility mode. Dx11 only has SSAO as of now.

@Raphibing remember when adding fsaa the game removes r_useedgeAA. decide yourself
