@bartyfarslar And Antonines wall was post Hadrian, and was weak and is little more than a ditch now, a futile effort on the part of the Romans.,.....

@GoldenAxeVox666 WRONG. Before the Romans built Hadrians Wall they built Antonines Wall between what is not Glasgow and Edinburgh. I know.. I have walked on it. So therefore the Romans were in control of the Lowlands, if only a for a short time.

@thomaslenior Its ok, I'm a Very Proud Celt, and the parts of Gaul the Bloody Romans didn't rape and destroy I am very proud of, and the Gaels and Picts were a different kind of Celt, more warrior like and weather hardened in the woods and mountains of Scotland and Ireland. And Pictivia and Ibernia were not named by their inhabitants, remember, neither had written language in favor of bards and druids, all we know was written by Caesar, and imagine how he lied to make himself look in "his"tory
@:56 in who is this person? I mean is she actually doing a ritual or is it staged? just curious

@tnraines That is Etain. She's a fictional character from the Pict province of Rome, from the film Centurion.

@thomaslenior WHOAHHHHH there were never any Romans that made it into Pictland without being slaughtered, Rome never made it into Pictland(Scotland) nor Hibernia(Ireland) The Best they could do was the main Part of ENgland and gave up by building a wall to keep the Picts from descending and slaughtering them, which happened often anyway. Until Rome realized they could never conquer the whole island and they left it to the Saxons in about the 5th Century C.E. ROME NEVER SETTLED IN PICTLAND!!!!!!!

@GoldenAxeVox666 Indeed, it was my mistake to give the false impression that Pictland/Pictavia was ever a province of Rome. Like Frisia, it was never conquered by the Romans. So thank you for pointing that out.
